Wieża Bismarcka na Jańskiej Górze

     Wieża Bismarcka na Jańskiej Górze znajduje się na szczycie najwyższego punktu Wzgórz Łagiewnickich i jest najstarszą tego typu wieżą. Została zbudowana przez Friedricha Schrötera, właściciela majątku w Sokolnikach i oficjalnie otwarta 18 października 1869 roku.


     Wieża ma około 23 metry wysokości i początkowo była otoczona drewnianym pawilonem o promieniu 5,20 metra, który służył jako osłona przed złymi warunkami atmosferycznymi (zachowanym do 1910 roku). W weekendy wieża wraz z otaczającym parkiem była dostępna dla zwiedzających i oferowała wewnątrz usługi gastronomiczne i rozrywkowe. Podczas II wojny światowej w 1945 roku dolna część wieży została uszkodzona przez dwa pociski małokalibrowe.


     Obecnie wieża jest w złym stanie technicznym i nie umożliwia wejścia na platformę widokową.
