Muzeum w Przeworsku

Muzeum w Przeworsku mieści się w kompleksie budynków, w tym w pałacu i oranżerii, otoczonym parkiem w stylu angielskim. Ten historyczny zespół został wzniesiony przez rodzinę Lubomirskich, która miała swoje korzenie w Przeworsku od XVII wieku.

Pałac, wybudowany na miejscu dawnego dworu obronnego, został zaprojektowany w stylu klasycyzmu angielskiego przez ks. Henryka Lubomirskiego i odzwierciedla jego zamiłowanie do architektury. Bogata kolekcja dzieł sztuki, mebli i pamiątek historycznych zgromadzonych w pałacu została jednak w dużej mierze rozproszona i utracona podczas II wojny światowej.

Po wojnie pałac pełnił różne funkcje, zanim w latach 70. XX wieku został odrestaurowany i przekształcony w muzeum, które obecnie nosi nazwę Muzeum – Pałac Lubomirskich.
