Muzeum Ziemi Kociewskiej

       Muzeum Ziemi Kociewskiej, z siedzibą w Starogardzie Gdańskim, jest miejską instytucją kultury. Jego ekspozycje znajdują się w dwóch basztach, które stanowią część dawnych murów miejskich: Narożnej i Gdańskiej. Muzeum zostało oficjalnie założone w 1980 roku, chociaż już od lat 60. XX wieku w Baszcie Gdańskiej gromadzono zbiory związane z historią i kulturą Kociewia. W 1973 roku powstała Stacja Upowszechniania Wiedzy o Regionie, która nawiązała współpracę z Towarzystwem Miłośników Ziemi Kociewskiej, a wspólne wysiłki tych instytucji doprowadziły do utworzenia muzeum. Pierwszym dyrektorem placówki był Andrzej Błażyński. W 2001 roku otwarto nowy budynek muzeum, usytuowany obok Baszty Narożnej, którego budowa została sfinansowana przez miasto Starogard Gdański.
