Muzeum Tradycji Szlacheckiej

Muzeum Tradycji Szlacheckiej znajduje się w Waplewie Wielkim, w powiecie sztumskim, w gminie Stary Targ, w zespole pałacowo-parkowym. Jest oddziałem Muzeum Narodowego w Gdańsku. Pałac powstał w XVII wieku, a w XVIII w. otoczono go parkiem krajobrazowym. W XIX w. rozbudowano go, a ostatnim właścicielem był Stanisław hrabia Sierakowski. W pałacu znajdowała się bogata kolekcja dzieł sztuki, w tym obrazy Tycjana, Rubensa i Dürera. W 1837 r. gościł tu Fryderyk Chopin. Po II wojnie światowej zbiory uległy zniszczeniu, a pałac przeszedł w ręce PGR. Obiekt wpisano do rejestru zabytków w latach 70. XX w. i od 2006 r. należy do Muzeum Narodowego w Gdańsku. Zespół pałacowy obejmuje także park, folwark oraz powozownię. W latach 2012-2015 obiekt przeszedł rewitalizację.
